1. Can I put tokens in my own caches?
Of course! I don't mind if you put them in caches you own that are already placed or if you place a new cache with tokens in it. Just be aware that I might email you if the cache isn't published yet to find out if there was a typo in the GC code.

2. Can I put tokens in caches I've already visited?
Yes! Just please be sure to log that they're there and the number of tokens you dropped. (Makes my life easier!)

3. Do you REALLY check the logs on geocaching.com?

Yep, every one. And it can take a while, let me tell you! If there's a problem, then I'll email you to say that I can't find the log or the numbers of  tokens placed don't match, etc. Please resubmit via the FORM!

4. Can I put less than 3 tokens in a cache?
Sure. Whatever will fit easily.

5. Can I put more than 5?
I'd rather you didn't. I don't want to flood any cache with tokens.

6. There are already tokens in the cache. Now what?
Well, if they're are fewer than 5, you can put in as many as it takes to get to 5 TOTAL. If there are already 5 there, please find another cache.

7. How do you pay for shipping?
With a credit card! No, seriously, I finance EatStayPlay.com through advertising. If you want to help out, please visit one of our ads. Some ads I get paid just for a click (Google ads), some you have to buy something (most banners), and some you just need to order free information.

8. Can I advertise on EatStayPlay.com?
Yep, check out:
http://www.eatstayplay.com/html/misc/Advertise.html

or
http://www.eatstayplay.com/geocaching/geocacheadvertise.html

9. Why do I have to put the number of tokens I placed in both the email form AND in the log post?
Because I actually use the number to track how many tokens you've placed! It's all on the honor system, but an email that says "5" and a post that says "tokens" makes me nervous!

10. Where's the tokens placed form again?

http://eatstayplay.com/token/

11. How long does it take to get my tokens after I requested them?
I TRY to process requests about once a week but it's usually closer to every other week. AND, if I am waiting for envelopes and/or tokens, it can take longer.

12. How long does it take to get my coin after I'm done placing tokens?
I go through every log post about tokens. It goes quicker if you're 100% sure on your GC code. If there are any issues, I email you and then wait for you to resubmit on the tokens form.

After that, I process coins about every week. It really helps if you shoot me an email saying that you're done.

I'll update this as I get asked more questions!

I just got my tokens this week and have a question about the number of tokens placed in a cache.  Your email says under Cache Activity Guidelines:

Number of Tokens: 3-5 per cache. It depends on the size of the cache container and the activity.
Activity: Found 4-6 times per month or more! We're talking the active caches here!

To determine this without having to spend a bunch of time scrolling through the pages (which can be time consuming depending on the cache), can I take the number of months the cache has been in existence and divide it by the number of times it has been found to determine an average monthly activity?

Yep, that'll work. The biggest thing is to help spread the word by NOT putting tokens in caches that just aren't visited that often. Any PNG would be okay. Anything with easy hikes, etc. The terrain 4 & 5 or the difficulty 4 & 5 probably just don't get that much traffic.

I picked up a token in Port Huron on a trip this weekend. When I got home to Ontario, I logged on only to find out that I can't play Angry. I'm sure you'll find that expanding into Canada will only broaden your exposure and you may get advertisers for your site from here also. I'm new to Geocaching myself but I've seen in a short time that it is only going to get bigger and better.

I would love to expand the website into Canada someday. The first goal will be to get in all the attraction information for the USA FIRST and then move on to North America.

I have a question about number two:

Yes! Just please be sure to log that they're there and the number of tokens you dropped. (Makes my life easier!)

If i would go back to a cache that I visited a little while ago to add tokens to it, should I place a new log post for the cache, or should I just update the original log, and let you know the date that it was first found?

Can tokens be dropped into events such as local meet n greets?  We have them monthly here and would be a quick great way to promote the website.  We usually have 40+ in attendance.

Kimberly,

On February 17, 2010, I placed my 50th token.  Could you please confirm with an email that you show 50 tokens placed on your end?

Thanks!

I found some tokens in a cache a couple days ago and have requested mine. When I get them and start placing them, should I submit the token placement form as I place them or wait until I place all 50?

You can submit as you go or wait, it's up to you. We process logs from oldest to newest.

I have created a cache GC2CVPB.....to help spread the tokens within my community and surrounding areas.  Is it possible to get more tokens?
