Activated and Goal set

TB31RG0

Current GOAL:  Travel only to 3 star or greater terrain caches; preferably with hikes and/or great views. Pictures always a bonus.

I will drop in a cache when I get the chance.

Placed the coin today in South Mt Park, a 16,000 acre park with 137 active geocaches and 3 terracaches. This was my personal geocache find # 2800. Took a couple pix, coin page below:

My geocoin had quite an adventure in the Caribbean. A local cacher, gpatocha, took it to Nevis/St Kitts to a cache called "Snorkeling Cache". Visit the cache page from the link below for the description and Gary's (gpatocha) log. My coin is supposed to only visit 3 star or greater terrain, which should provide some good stories - I hope. It's off to a great start.

gpatocha has placed some very challenging caches in South Mt Park, a sample below:

Continuing adventures of EatStayPlay Outdoor Adventures Goecoin - bedstefader skjule:

southpawaz retrieved my ESP coin from "Moose's Other Favorite Hike" and placed it in his newly published, yet unfound cache, "Crested Saguaro 4 Redux".

Check out the pix southpawaz uploaded to the cache description of the crested sahuaro - incredible. Link below:

southpawaz is The King of Tonto region in Deep-Southwest Geocaching Project; if you haven't seen the DGP site - it adds another great dimension to cachers in our area(Southwest) & can be useful to those looking for quality backcountry caches in the area served by DGP.  Check link:

Subman123 & jcanyoneer got the FTF on "Crested Saguaro 4 Redux; my geocoin was retrieved by jcanyoneer, and he graciously added a couple pix of the crested saguaro.

Pretty cool! Check it out:

Ah, I miss cacti! I wish I was geocaching a few years ago when I lived in AZ. I did not start until July last year after moving back to PA. I absolutely love and miss the desert. It would have been a cool way to experience it, though I think I might have run into more rattlesnakes that way. Thanks for sharing and cool pics.

Well my coin's future adventure is now in the hands of the brainiacs. jcanyoneer really outdid himself; not only did he go with the coins mission of 3 star or greater terrain caches, but he upped the ante a bit. He placed my coin in another one of PurplePaws difficult mystery caches; a 4.5/3.5 cache Huh named "Matrix with a View".  ???Now that's gonna take a local brainiac to retrieve my coin and keep it on it's travels.

I don't know how many times I've said/thought "I wish I was geocaching when..."; but many of those "if only's" were actually before geocaching even began.

I agree with you on the cacti as well. Because sahuaro are only found in AZ and Mexico, we have a unique opportunity to see the many amazing/strange/peculiar formations they sometimes take in their growth. Many cache locations here use the sahuaro as an essential ingredient for the cache experience.
